What this means for industry Evidence for comparable projects elsewhere in Europe.

The challenge

Kerb space was allocated by historic designation, with no data on how it was actually used.

The project

An operational platform recording kerb use by category and time, used to reallocate space between loading, parking, charging and public use. In service since 2024. Included in the pipeline because the operating data is available to other cities as evidence, not because the project is seeking suppliers.

Expected impact

  • Kerb allocation decisions based on recorded use
  • Published kerb use dataset
