Summer night-time temperatures in the densest districts stay high enough to affect health outcomes, and the city has no district-level evidence base.

The project

The city has published the problem rather than a solution. What exists is a health signal and a set of complaints; what does not exist is district-level temperature data, a shading inventory or an assessment of which interventions are legally possible in a protected urban fabric.
