The challenge

School buildings are uncomfortably hot in summer and expensive to heat in winter, and the estate has never been assessed as a whole.

The project

An estate-wide assessment followed by a phased renovation programme covering envelope, shading, ventilation and controls, sequenced by cost per square metre rather than by political visibility.
