Lifecycle stage

What this means for industry Open to all suppliers. Participation is public and recorded.

The challenge

School and social service systems hold sensitive data on minors and are administered by staff with no security function.

The project

A shared security capability across municipal schools and social services: managed detection, identity hardening, backup that is tested rather than assumed, and an incident procedure that the people on duty have actually rehearsed. Scoped against the obligations that apply to public entities under NIS2.

Expected impact

  • Tested restore capability across in-scope systems
  • Rehearsed incident procedure with named roles
  • Reduction in privileged accounts without multi-factor authentication
