European program to monitor air quality in schools. #RealOpenData
CityAir is a european air quality monitoring program in schools that aims to be the biggest move to improve air quality.
CityAir measures the main parameters of air quality, analyzes the data received from the sensors and makes them available to the public, local and central authorities.
Starting in 2020, we started developing the CityAir project. The pilot project was launched in June 2021 in Bucharest and enjoyed immediate support and promotion from the media and civil society.
The sensors measure in real time:
A person consumes 1 kg of food daily, drinks 2 litres of water, and breathes 15 kg of air.
We spend 90% of our time indoors.
Indoor air can be up to 50 times more polluted than outdoor air.
